Why did we focus on work and public service across generations?

➡ We heard from county governments and public service entities about the challenges they face with recruiting and retaining employees from younger generations as well as with succession planning for leadership positions. There is also work to be done in passing down knowledge and experience from those in previous generations in the latter stages of their careers.

There are so many ways to approach this story, but the focus in "The Generation Theory" centers on illustrating how differences in generations are perceived and showing the work that is being done to bridge those gaps between generations.

We use personal stories and insightful interviews to illuminate the contrasts between generations and how they strengthen ties among colleagues and friends.
